Youth Leaders Ken and Karen Jacobs
Winterfest 2009
Winterfest has come and gone,
but the effects will long live
with the youth from Faith
Tabernacle who attended, along
with 20 - 25,000 other young
folks from all over the region.
Only time will tell the
long-lasting results of their
experience in the presence of
God as they recommitted
themselves to their covenant to
serve Him.
With the help of Youth Leaders,
Ken and Karen Jacobs, they all worked hard to raise
the funds necessary for all the
expenses. They sold candy,
pizzas, had a chicken 'n
dumplings dinner and accepted
donations. Because of
their persistent efforts, they
were able to stay at the Black
Bear Ridge Resort between
sessions of Winterfest.
Look below to view their nice
surroundings in Gatlinburg,
Tennessee. More pictures
will be posted as they come in.

**Hey, Teens! Do you have
any pictures from Winterfest you
want to share here?**
It appears that everyone has
such a good time, they didn't
have time to take pictures!

Youth Camp
Youth camp occurred the week
of July 6-10. They had
classes, morning and evening
church and lots of fun and
activities. Some
pictures are below.
(light was poor in the
tabernacle which accounts
for the 'grainy' appearance
of some). It was a time
of spiritual renewal and
connecting again with
friends of previous years.

Fall
Harvest Festival
Youth leaders, Ken & Karen
Jacobs combined all the age
groups of our youth for an
evening of fun and games for the
Fall Harvest Festival.
They began with an indoor
campfire service as Karen gave
them a Bible lesson. After
prayer, the activities began.
There were various stations of
games and activities manned by
adult helpers. The
youth earned tickets at each
station and collected them in a
bag provided by the leaders; the
tickets were used to "buy"
treats and trinkets.
Pastor Jerry and Lorinda had a
"fish pond" where, even without
bait, they fishers caught a
prize on their line. They
also took them on a hay ride by
age groups; even some of the
adults had a turn.
It was a night of lots of fun,
eats and activities.
Pictures will be added below as
they come in.

An overflow crowd attended the
Christmas musical program
conducted by Ken and Karen.
After the program, the
participants, helpers and
attendees were invited to the
fellowship hall where food had
been prepared. The number
of people outnumbered the tables
and chairs, but everyone enjoyed
the "after-show" time.
