The Youth sponsored an "All-you-can-eat-chicken 'n dumplings-for-$10" dinner Sunday, November 16 following morning worship service in the fellowship hall.  It was successful for the youth and everyone seems to have left full and satisfied.

Thanks for your participation and support!

U-turn Teens' 24-Hour Fast

The U-TURN Teens had a wonderful day Saturday, February 9th.  We all agreed to fast for 24 hours for the church, our lost loved ones and our own personal walk with the Lord.  Everyone listed public things they wanted everyone to pray for on paper and laid those requests on the altar.  It was a good time of prayer, singing and watching the Passion.  Our hearts were filled with love and thankfulness remembering what Jesus did for us in his suffering.  We ended our fast that night at 10:30PM with a nice big breakfast at the church.  We had a wonderful time together.

We are happy to report that one of the prayers were already answered the next day.  Our Faith has definitely increased.  The Lord is Good.

We would like to thank Pastor Jerry and Sis. Lorinda for coming out to encourage everyone and give their support.

Christmas Shoe Boxes

The youth at Faith Tabernacle are concerned about less fortunate children, and work toward making a better Christmas for them by participating in Samaritan's Purse "Operation Christmas Child" and fill shoe boxes with gifts for children who might not otherwise have a Christmas.

If you would like to help with this project, contact Ken or Karen.

Youth comments about Winter Fest:

"What I liked most about 2008 Winter Fest"...

"I loved the services.  They were awesome and very spirit-filled.  If I had to describe it in one word, it would be supernatural."

.....Keith

"It was amazing to see so many teens worshipping and praising the Lord.  It lets you know that you're not alone; there are other Christian teens trying to make it."

.....Rebecca

"It was being able to get with hundreds of teenagers to worship God.  And every night you could feel the spirit so strong."

.....Vanessa

"I like seeing everyone singing and dancing and praising the Lord and that was the second time I got saved and it felt good."

-----Keegan

I got filled with the Holy Ghost and I got closer to God than I was."

-----D. J.

"It brought me closer to God.  It was easy to worship God without thinking what other people think about you."

-----Michael

"The services were amazing!  You could really feel the spirit of the Lord."

Christmas Program

"Meet me at the Manger"

Under the direction of Youth leaders, Ken & Karen Jacobs

In spite of the zero-degree temperature, with wind chill factor about minus 20 degrees, there was a large turnout for the program.  Ken and Karen appreciated the support of the parents, members and friends who braved slick roads and bone-chilling temperature to attend.  After the program, pizza and other goodies were served in the fellowship hall to a standing-room only crowd.

Below are some pictures depicting scenes of the program and groups of the players.  Everyone agreed that the youth did an outstanding job, as they usually do.  Ken and Karen did an outstanding job--as they usually do!
